Maruia Game Ranch is here to offer a totally new hunting experience for keen hunters, photographers and outdoor men. We have trophy red deer & other animals available for hunting. The property is clothed in native forest some old, some regenerating. There are many old logging tracks with twists and turns offering beautiful close-range targets. There is also trout fishing in the surrounding rivers, with some of the largest average weight brown trout in NZ.

The local area has outstanding natural beauty with large mountains and rivers, there are also 4WD tracks for exploration , with plenty of bars in between!

Not only can you stalk trophy deer, hunt other wild game, and fish for big brown trout, but you’ll also get the opportunity to learn axe throwing, try your luck with gold panning, and give archery a shot.

The Journey

On your journey to the Game Ranch, you’ll visit some of Canterburys most amazing vineyards, dip your toes in natural mineral hot pools, and be accompanied by the Venusroom honeys while you do it.

After The Kill

It’s back to the bar to discuss the days hunting with the Game Ranch’s hostesses. These girls are certainly unique, and they know how to give a man a hunting experience he will never forget!

How It Works

You will be picked up from the airport and chauffeured to a motel to get some rest and clean up after your flight. Later, you will be picked up and chauffeured to The Venusroom to meet the beautiful Venusroom girls, have a party night, with a spa pool, BBQ and drinks, and plenty of fun!

The next day you will head for the game ranch, through the wine-growing regions of Canterbury, with stops at the top venues. Then it’s on to Hanmer Springs to the natural mineral hot pools, then on with the journey through the Lewis pass national reserve, arriving at the Game Ranch at about 7pm. This is the real deal.
